We’ll be screening the second film in our classics series for Easter where you’ll have the chance to a win an “Itineraire d’un Enfant Gâté” unique movie poster from PLAKAT. Set in a beautiful African landscape and paired with a wonderful soundtrack, this story of a man at the crossroads of his life is moving and timeless. Lost in Frenchlation and Ciné-Balade have also teamed up to bring you a ☆EIFFEL TOWER MOVIE TOUR☆! Join us from 4:30pm for the tour, 6pm for drinks and 7pm for the film.

A foundling raised in the circus, Sam Lion becomes a businessman after a trapeze accident. However, when he reaches fifty and becomes tired of his responsibilities and of his son Jean-Philippe, he decides to disappear at sea. After running into Albert Duvivier, one of his former employees, he comes to realise that he has ignored the important things in his life. – Plot

•THE PLAN:
The screening will take place at Club de l’Étoile cinema, located a short walk from the world-famous Arc de Triomphe! We will be offering a variety of French-inspired drinks and snacks and selling PLAKAT posters during our cocktail hour from 6pm and start the screening at 7pm. Make sure you show up promptly at 6pm for a chance to find the golden egg first and win a PLAKAT poster!

Lost in Frenchlation and Ciné-Balade have teamed up to bring you a two hour walk into the history of cinema around the Eiffel Tower, the star among the stars, and the district of Passy. Many international movies were shot here including “Mission Impossible” this year, not far from the location of “Inception” with Leonardo DiCaprio. You will learn about the beginning of cinema invented by the Lumiere Brothers and how it is linked to the Eiffel Tower and the World’s Fair. We will also talk about French movies like “The Last Metro” by François Truffaut or “Peur sur la Ville” with Jean-Paul Belmondo. The story of these famous places and what filmmakers are looking for when they use them will be our main thread.
